Classes are fun, planned, varied, positive and challenging
When my daughters showed an interest in drama, I began making inquiries about lessons. I was very discouraged at first as many courses seemed to lack direction. Then I spotted a Helen o’Grady Drama Academy brochure on our school’s notice board – trained teachers, syllabus, lesson plans, improvisations, speech training… this was it! My three daughters have been attending classes over the past eighteen months and all want to continue for life. The classes are fun, planned, varied, positive and challenging. I love the fact that all the teachers are trained, have great control and are loads of fun.
Children are encouraged to have eye contact with the teacher and their confidence is bolstered at every opportunity. The children become confident and are encouraged to speak independently but also must work co-operatively, great life skills. I feel that drama classes are a great way for my children to develop their creativity, learn to speak in front of others, develop great self esteem and all in a fun, professional and safe environment.

Her confidence and self esteem have improved enormously
My daughter has been attending the Helen O’Grady Drama Academy for just over one year. In that time her confidence and self esteem have improved enormously. Standing up and speaking in front of an audience is no longer daunting for her. She has managed to secure a part in the school production. I know that the skills she has acquired from the Helen O’Grady programme gave her the confidence to audition for the part. The great thing is these skills have helped not only at school but also in social situations. The teachers are enthusiastic and this in turns rubs off on the children. My daughter hates to miss a session!

Always comes out a bundle of joy!
My daughter already had confidence and communication skills when she began Helen O’Grady. So why did I send her? I wanted to further develop these attributes and this certainly has happened. After a long week at school, every Friday she is keen to attend her drama lesson and without fail always comes out a bundle of joy. Over a number of years with the programme she has had great teachers all who has had a positive influence on her life.
